To all:
I'm glad to be a new member of the Chevelle Camp to share my experience and always looking to learn more about our common passion.
.
I have personally experienced (Not owned) a fair number of new muscle cars from back in the day. Cars such as Super-Birds, GTO's, Barricudas, etc were actually seen quite often on the street. Of all of them, the Chevelle SS 454 left a lasting impression with me.
.
I caught "Chevelle SS Fever" back in 1971, when a black 1970 Chevelle SS 454
(LS-6??) with white stripes pulled up along side my slant six powered 1971 Plymouth "Scamp" at a stop light. Needless to say the Chevelle was at the next red light before I cleared the tire smoke left by that Chevelle. I have had an enduring love and respect for that machine ever since. I currently own a 1971 Chevelle SS 454.
.
The definition of fever is:
"an abnormal condition of the body, characterized by undue rise in temperature, quickening of the pulse, and disturbance of various body functions"
.
I have "Chevelle SS Fever" and I'm not looking for a cure.
.
Sound familiar??
