Looking around to replace my radiator cap.:p I've seen what are supposed to be original caps with a gold hollow rivet and some with a solid rivet. Anyone know which are correct?
Examples- (and no, I ain't payin' $180 for a damn used radiator cap!)

I want to say the hollow rivet is correct.

What do the repros look like?

Good price, but not correct for '68. Look at the "ears" on BR's pic. They are the longer ones that were on the '68's. Looks like I need to find a solid rivet cap, I believe one of the Corvette places sells them or Rick's 1st Gen Camaro.

Here's one for not-so-good-price. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200416860802&_trksid=e11014.m204&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BCR%2 6otn%3D8&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNAFP:MOTORS:1348
Thanks for the pic, Mr. Rose.

That's the solid rivet, like Dave's car has.
