:biggrin:I found this web site just two weeks ago. To my suprise I looked under the Van Nuys plant. It listed the first known LS6 car built was 12-15-69. My cars build date is 12-15-69. It was bought by GM and shipped to the GM Warren Tech center in MI. You can emagine my suprise when I read this! I was just at the Autorama in Detroit this past weekend for the first time. What an experience!! I have owned this car since Nov.of 99. I thought it to be something special because GM ordered it. Hopefully by joining this site I may find some answers.

Sounds rather interesting...have you got any documentation? Cars like this ALWAYS promote some discussion! Keep us posted please.

I have the original build sheet that matches the vin tag. Also while putting in a new heater core i found that same vin stamped on the fire wall. Very happy to see that.

Welcome Jim,
Got any pics of your car?
I think there is a blue on blue LS6 convertible that was built at Van Nuys on 12-15 that was a zone demonstrator.

Do you happen to know the sequence number of this car? Jim's car is registered on the LS6 Registry with a photo link here (http://ls6registry.com/vn/vn.htm).
