Yep, I'll confess..... the '66 SS is my favorite car next to a '65 GTO.

Ya know it's funny, i love my 69 as much as the 66...but for lots of different reasons. :)

I love '66 Chevelles...

For 28+ years, all I owned were '66 Chevelles (for classics that is, except a '65 Skylark for parts and my grandmother's 65 Impala)... In 25 years I have always had at least 2 '66 Chevelles, until 2 years ago (down to 1)

Everyone of my friends and family associate me with "66", even my cell phone number ends with "1966" and when my nephew got his football versey with the number 66 on it, the family went nuts...

its been almost 3 years since i bought my '70 Chevelle as a temporary plaything to use until I finished restoring my '66 SS.

Now I get to the point that I still love '66, but I sometimes wonder if its still my favorite...

Since age 10 (now 45) I loved the look of the'70 Chevelle - still think it's cool. However, I also love my wife who prefered the look of a '66 over a '70. So when I went to fill by Chevelle dreams ten years ago - I looked for '66. The only thing she doesn't like about it is that it is a 4 speed and every summer we go through manual trans driving lessons in the neighborhood with the same words from her "I'll never learn how to drive this thing" and I say "there's no reason you can't learn".

Not an SS but here is my 65 Impala, I'm kinda partial to that body style. Easy on the Imala now
