Default History of a 69 Chevelle 2 door post sedan.

Ive been looking all over the web for info on my car. which is a 69 2 door post sedan. Original 307 SB 2 speed, but there's not much out there just alot of history on the 396 ss package. does anyone have any history of the car. i know it cost more then the 9,500 i paid for it, because i've had car lovers all around my town offer me there souped up hotrods.

    Kevin,

Great looking 1969 Post Sedan model # "13427". I happen own the Registry for the 1969 SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan Chevelles. Your car is not an SS however, is unique and rare. These 2 Door Post Sedans are liked by many and becoming more popular. I can talk all day about these cars. Feel free to call me at (630)699-5578. In the mean while....tell us more about your cool car? What was the original color? Interior? Is it an A/C car? Does in have a 12 bolt? What plant and date was the car built? Any paper work, etc.

About 2 years ago, a friend and me decided it was time to get a hotrod. We saved up close to 10gs hoping that was enough to atleast get a decent project car. Well while looking on craigslist we found our chevelle posted for 12,500 with a side note " she's beautiful, but i could really use a truck". With my uncle being a mechanic i told him i wanted that car for the money i had. The guy who sold us the car really wasn't a car person, so we were able to finagle the price down a alot. We ended up getting the car for 9,500 as is. With the 17in Chrome corvette 5 star rims. firehawk racing tires. 2,000$ Brand new paintjob 1500$ brand new interior 2,000$ Rubbercoated undercarrage, original 307, Original 2 speed powerglie (for sale), Original and running A/c, With R12. The guy really didnt know what he was selling. When we registered the Car, the women at the desk asked us what we paid for the car we told her a grand and was hoping that she would believe us but she was a women who loved her chevelles and told us she would have too go buy blue book value of the car. Which was close to 26-28,000$ leaving the registration of the car at 4,000. With a lil finagleing there we only paid 411$.

There is no original paperwork for the car, the car's original owners before the guy was is 80yo parents. They had the car garaged for 40 years and decided to get it fixed up for him.

    Dylan,

Do you know the history of you Chevelle, are you saying this is an original 350 engine? Or was it born a 6 cylinder or 307?

    Dylan,

I am not debating your integrity on your basis of the originality of your engine....I am just trying to help you. Have you gone the extra step and located the build date and VIN on this engine block. Have you done the same with the heads and intake?

If you have done so, please email me pictures of your Chevelle`s VIN and Trim Tag, along with the engines VIN and Build Date.

    My email is..... abodymuscle@aol.com
